THE admission of Asia’s Songbird and Robin Padilla’s lead partner in the movie “Till I Met You,” Regine Velasquez that she’s no longer a virgin and that she has a non-showbiz boyfriend for four years now (which the public does not know about) drew a lot of mixed reactions from the readers.
“Bakit kinailangan niyang i-flaunt sa publiko na hindi na siya virgin? Kailangan pa ba niyang sabihin `yon? Parang hindi ang type ni Regine ang magsasalita ng ganun. Hindi bagay sa kanya. Is she trying to cover up something? Kung totoong hindi na siya virgin, bakit kailangan pa niyang ipangalandakan sa mundo. She’s supposed to keep it to herself and that’s very private," says Rocelia Alinsasasaguin from Canada.
“Maybe, the young generation now are thinking that having pre-marital sex is okey because their idol (Regine) is doing it anyway,” wrote Malen of Cagayan de Oro City.“People are not expecting Regine na virgin pa rin siya hanggang ngayon but why brag about it? That’s too private!” says Melissa Garcia from Caloocan.
